Back after Five months of Reading and no blogging

When I began my blog in January, I had no idea how much or how frequently I'd be posting.  Who is reading this anyway besides me ?  I look at it with a fond memory of beginning enthusiasm, and am not surprised at how quickly I was swept out of cyberspace and into the current of my real life.  However, I have been working on my 10/10/10 reading challenge, a rather light reading assignment for the year, but one that touches lots of areas of interest.  For my own review, here are my chosen categories:

8, 9, 10 (Books pubbed in 08, 09, or 10)
Indie presses

Classics I need to read/re-read
Guilty Pleasures/brain candy
Authors That Are New to Me
Short Stories

So far, here is my progress:

Memoir/bio/autobio:  Louisa May Alcott, The Woman Behind Little Women by Harriet Reisen
Photography/Art:  The Americans, Photographs by Robert Frank (a great birthday present from my brother), 500 Art Quilts, An Inspiring Collection of Contemporary Work, published by Lark books
Mysteries/Thriller/Crime:  all 3 Steig Larsson books: The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest (I am going to count these in my Guilty Pleasures/brain candy category also)
Classics I need to read/reread:  Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne (audio version with Stephen Fry and Judi Dench is fabulous)
Authors that are new to me:  Abraham Verghese, Cutting For Stone

still deciding on short stories, indie presses and travel/non fiction. . . so many books, so little time !
